Despite Iranian attempts to hide the news, the words of IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Hamadani were immediately published all around the world. Commander Hamadani, quoted by Fars News, said that Iran has built a “second Hezbollah in Syria”. More: IRGC official, ex Commander of Mohammad Rasulollah Corps for Greater Tehran, revealed that a “domestic mobilization” consisting of 42 groups, 128 battalions and 70,000 Alawite, Sunni and Shiite fighters has been formed to save Assad’s regime. Further, closing his speech, Hamadani added that there are currently 130,000 trained Basijis in Iran, ready to enter in Damascus.
As said before, trying to hide the news, Fars News immediately removed the article from the website. But…it was too late! The readers, in fact, succeeded in coping the article and spreading it in other websites. For sure, after three years of war, the Iranian involvement in the Syrian conflict is not a surprise. But, in any case, the words of Commander Hamadani are important in order to show – another time – the double face of Ayatollah’s regime.
