In a long interview published with Javan Online – newspaper close to the IRGC – Iran Supreme Leader’s advisor Ali Akbar Velayati said that Iran has the right to accept or refuse the nuclear agreement signed in Vienna. He also revealed that United States has approached Tehran in order to start negotiation on Syria and Yemen. Velayati said that the Iranian regime rejected the proposal, following the orders of Ali Khamenei. Velayati also underlined that the Islamic Republic will not will not open its military facilities to the international inspectors and will not accept limitations in the development of the missile program and defensive weapons (he specified that Iran will not accept impositions like the “Dayton Agreements”). Speaking about the regional issues, Velayati underlined that Iranian policy does not change and Tehran will continue to support its allies in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen in order to counter the America’s involvement in the region.
