Below two videos of the protest organized in Iran in support (and for the immediate freedom) of the political prisoners. The protest was organized on August 17, in the capital Tehran. In the videos it is possible to recognize Mrs. Gohar Eshghi, the brave mother of the Iranian blogger Sattar Beheshti – killed by Iranian regime in November 2012 – Mr. Mohammad Maleki, former President of the University of Tehran, today pro-democracy activist and Mohamamad Nourizad, ex journalist of conservative daily Kayhan, arrested for the first time in 2010, after sending a letter in which he asked to Khamenei to apologize to Iranian people for the crackdown of the popular protests in 2009.
On the banners in the hands of the courageous activists, it is possible to recognize Narges Mohammad – human rights activist, today in jail despite her dramatic health condition – children’s right activist Atena Daemi – condemned to 14 years in jail for her peaceful activity – and the cartoonist Atena Farghadani – condemned to 12 years in jail for posting a cartoon in protest of ant-women legislation.
