Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has communicated the intention to build a maritime fence, in order to avoid “terrorist infiltration”. The fence will consist in a system of coastal radars and cameras. Manama says that, this fence will permit to the authority to identify immediately the small vessels and strengthen the security of the country. The real goal of the fence is to avoid the Iranian support to the Shia population inside Bahrain. In July 2015, the security of Manama discovered an Iran-terror plot, seizing a large quantity of explosive ready to use against the Sunni monarchy (The Tower). After the discovering, Bahrain decided to recall its Ambassador from Tehran.
