Thousands of demonstrators protested in Iran against an anti-Azeri article published by a State-run newspaper. Around 2000 people gathered in Tabriz and Urmia, and marched peacefully against racism and discrimination. Unfortunately, the people were confronted by the local security forces, and many of the protesters were arrested. See the videos of the protests below. Iran is facing a dramatic increase of the protests by the ethnic minorities, especially by Arabs and Kurds (the Iranian Pershmerga have also restarted the military activity against Tehran).
