Iran, 3000 musicians publish an open letter to Rouhani: “Stop persecuting us”

Almost 3000 musicians have written an open letter to the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, complaining about the persecutions and asking to “restore the dignity of music”. The open letter arrives after the cancellation of many concerts in Iran, especially in the city of Mashhad. Recently not only the security forces acted to cancel concerts, but they also have arrested many “underground” musicians. Yesterday the Iranian prosecutor decided to summon also the popular rapper Amir Tataloo, accusing him of “spreading immoral values”.
