Iran: Baha’i man killed for his religious beliefs

Source:, Bahai Rights

On September 26, a Baha’i citizen of Yazd, was stabbed and killed by two men for his religious beliefs. The name of the man killed was Farhang Amiri and he was 63. Farhang was approached by the two men with a pretext – they said that they wanted to buy his van – and stabbed when he was close to his residence. Mr. Amiri was rushed immediately to the hospital, but he died for his wounds. The two men were arrested and they admitted to have killed Farhang Amir for religious reasons. In Iran the Baha’i community lives in an apartheid regime. Ayatollah Khamenei has personally issued a fatwa, forbidding to the Iranian citizens to have social relations with Baha’is.
