During a TV program of the channel Nabaa – broadcasted from Beirut and close to Iranian position – the anchorwoman received a phone call from a Saudi citizen from the al-Qatif Province. Instead of attacking the Saudi Royal family, the Saudi woman said that the situation in Awamiya – a village in the al-Qatif region – is good under the rule of the al-Saud. She also added that the “Government is dearest and is developing al-Qatif creating new gardens and complexes”. Shocked by the words of the Saudi woman, the anchorwoman tried to question the identity of the caller, accusing her of not being from the area of Qatif. The Saudi lady reacted, saying that she was calling from Dammam and she was a Shiite.
