Iran is working to enlarge its Shia militias in Syria. In order to achieve this goal, Tehran is training at least 3000 Nigerians, with the goal to send them to fight for Bashar al Assad. The operation in supervised by the Iranian embassy in Abuja and it’s realized thanks the support of a local Shia Muslim cleric, Ibrahim Yaqoub el-Zakzaky. Thanks to the money arrived from Iranian charity organizations (first the notorious Ahl al-Bayt), the Islamic Republic established a strong cultural center in the South of Nigeria and controls 25 elementary schools with more than 10,000 students.

Ibrahim el-Zakzaky is well known for his support to the Velayat-e Faqih. He is the leader of an “Islamic Movement” (website), modeled on the Lebanese Hezbollah. More, two years ago, the Nigerian security arrested a terrorist cell, paid by Iran, which had the goal to organize attacks inside Nigeria (Video).
