Thousand of Iranians took the street in Mashhad in these days, to protest against the corruption in the country. For the opposition, at least 100 protesters were arrested by the security forces. The demonstrators in Mashhad chanted slogans like “Death to Rouhani”, “No Gaza, No Lebanon, My life only for Iran” and it seems that there were also slogans in favor of the Shah’s regime. Despite the video in which it is possible to see the high number of protesters, the Iranian press agency Fars News – close to the IRGC – wrote that there were only 200 demonstrators, remarking also that the protests were illegal.

Regime prevents five members of Rafsanjani’s family to leave Iran

The daughter of Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, Faezeh Rafsanjani, revealed that the regime has forbidden to 5 members of his family to leave the country. Officially she said that the authorities did not give explanations, but it seems that the regime suspected that they wanted to bring some documents, to publish abroad. Faezeh Rafsajani denied this intention. The same story happened two months ago. Rafsanjani’s daughter did not revealed the names of the family’s members who wanted to leave the country. On March 17, Iranian regime sentenced Faezeh Rafsanjani to six months in jail for “spreading lies” and “propaganda against the regime”.

Iranian official: “In case of independence, we will close the border with Kurdistan”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Shamkhani, threatened to “close the border with Kurdistan region of Iraq and ending all the security agreement with KRG”, if Erbil will declare the independence. Shamkhani underlined that, for Tehran, the only recognized entity is the unified State of Iraq, represented by the Government in Baghdad

Iran opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi hospitalized after declaring the hunger strike

The son of the Iranian opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi, Mohammad Karroubi, informed his followers on Twitter that his father was hospitalized, after having declared the hunger strike. Mehdi Karroubi decided to declare the hunger strike in protest against the regime, which is keeping him in house arrest since 2011, without any charge or process. Karroubi is asking to the Judiciary system to process him publicly, obtaining the possibility to defend himself.

Iran: Baha’i man killed for his religious beliefs

On September 26, a Baha’i citizen of Yazd, was stabbed and killed by two men for his religious beliefs. The name of the man killed was Farhang Amiri and he was 63. Farhang was approached by the two men with a pretext – they said that they wanted to buy his van – and stabbed when he was close to his residence. Mr. Amiri was rushed immediately to the hospital, but he died for his wounds. The two men were arrested and they admitted to have killed Farhang Amir for religious reasons. In Iran the Baha’i community lives in an apartheid regime. Ayatollah Khamenei has personally issued a fatwa, forbidding to the Iranian citizens to have social relations with Baha’is.

Exclusive: See the anti-racist protests in the Iranian cities of Tabriz and Urmia

Thousands of demonstrators protested in Iran against an anti-Azeri article published by a State-run newspaper. Around 2000 people gathered in Tabriz and Urmia, and marched peacefully against racism and discrimination. Unfortunately, the people were confronted by the local security forces, and many of the protesters were arrested. See the videos of the protests below. Iran is facing a dramatic increase of the protests by the ethnic minorities, especially by Arabs and Kurds (the Iranian Pershmerga have also restarted the military activity against Tehran).

Below two videos of the protest exploded in Boldājī, capital of  Boldaji District, in Borujen County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The protest started between the Sunni Kurdish local population and the security forces. The population protested against the repression of the regime and the lack of natural resources in the area (especially water). Until now the Pasdaran have killed one person, wounded 30 and arrested more than 5o people.
